Thanks for stoppin in painter. I know your not a cheat and didn't want to issue a ban against you due to our new policy. We will try to help you as much as possiblr to get you squared away. I know you tried solution #1 so just disregard it. Try #2 or #3

Solution 1.
Open registry by pressing "start" and then "run" type this: regedit
When the new window opens up search for and delete everything that says: _armyops.exe:D3DOGL_67207556

Solution 2.
note this fix was tested with windows Xp forceware drivers WinXp 169.21 whql
a. Install the latest nvidia drivers http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_169.21_whql.html
b. Install rivatuner http://www.guru3d.com/index.php?page=rivatuner
c. Reset your ArmyOps.exe settings to default, watch here
http://www.aaa-squad.com/AAreset/AAprofile.swf
d. Reboot PC
c. Open AA and check to see if it worked

Solution 3
nhancer solution
a. Download nhancer http://www.nhancer.com/
b. Install enhancer and select America's Army in the profile window
c. Under the optimization tab go to "NEG LOAD BIAS" and select CLAMP

How to check if this worked

Open Americas Army and take a screenshot by hitting F8 or your designated hot key

Check your screenshot at C:/Program Files/Americas Army/Screenshots

If the screenshots are not black then everything is working ok and your screen shots are no longer black

Some times you may have to hit the reset button to clamp load bias and get it to work

I know you tried solution #1 on this but try the other 2.

Screenshots take about 30 seconds to fix from time of download for the fix to actually fixing them.

Here is a quote from the AA official forums... 3 choices to fix the screenshots, the first choice is what I use. If you decide to attempt the second choice, BACK UP YOUR REGISTRY FIRST!!!!! Never mess with the registry unless you know EXACTLY what you're doing...the other two choices do it for you. The first choice will require a program to open .rar files, such as 7zip or winrar. I use the first choice, myself.

There is a faulty line in the registry that causes aa to have black screenshots. you can fix it in 3 diffrent ways. They all do the same thing. Just pick one and you will probably have working screenshots.

1. run this little program http://pub.unrated.be/AANoBlackSS.rar it just removes those faulty lines in the registry to get your screenshots working. you need this installed also http://www.microsoft.com/net/D...nt.aspx

2. open registry by pressing start in windows then "run". type this: regedit
when the new window opens up search for and delete everything that says: _armyops.exe:D3DOGL_67207556

3. do this http://www.aaa-squad.com/AAres...et.html
